The town of Windermere was named after Windermere, England by an Englishman named John Dowe in 1887.
The population in Windermere consists of approximately 3,327 people as reported by the United State Census Bureau. Locals that reside here, love the small town feel.

Trinity Lutheran School (Grade Levels: Infants to 8th Grade)
Trinity Lutheran School offers a learning curriculum for infants on up to the 8th grade. Infants are offered safe and unrestricted physical space. Infants are hugged, rocked, sung to, fed, changed and able to rest based on their needs.
Toddlers in the toddler program are given model language development, appropriate social skills and they are provided with activities and materials that encourages the child to explore and discover.
The two year old program is an introduction to preschool. Learning is conducted through creative hands-on activities such as singing, finger plays, and movement activities.
The three year old program provides regular routine and structure with free play and independent choices that are all part of the learning process. Daily math, science, drama, language, reading, writing, music and movement are taught to students. In the VPK/four year old program children get a jump start for Kindergarten in pre-reading, pre-math, language and social skills.
