DECEMBER 2016 HOUSING REPORT
During 2016, Orlando's housing market continued to see a rise in prices and a slight increase in home sales compared to 2015.
The most notable trend for the year was consistent in inventory of available homes for sale.
The annual median price of a home in Orlando in 2016 was $200,000, which is a healthy 12% jump compared to 2015.
A total of 35,780 homes sold during the year, an increase of almost 2% compared to last year.
The limited number of homes available for sale in Orlando resulted in a challenging year for would-be buyers, who had limited options to select from.
Since last year the number of homes has dropped by 19% with only 8,590 homes currently available for sale.
